On January 1, 2006, the government initiated a new program called Medicare Part D.
Medicare Part D, commonly called a Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) is a government
sponsored $720 billion dollar program.

The average Medicare recipient can save about 50% on drug costs annually. In addition,
the program provides peace of mind, because it protects you if your drug spending is ever
